We are not taking any new applications for the SPC Current Account at this time.
Our current account gives you:
- Cash withdrawals from thousands of cash machines
- Cashback or pay for goods from millions of outlets world-wide wherever the Visa Debit sign is displayed (if you qualify for a VISA card)
- Wages, pensions or benefits paid straight into your account
- Access to your Credit Union loan paid directly into your account
- Ability to set up standing orders and direct debits to pay your household bills
- Ability to set up bill payments and funds transfers
- Access to the special Plus Account which can give you extra cash when you need it (subject to assessment & conditions)
- Simple and transparent fees. It costs just €1.50 per week
Things you should know
- Like many bank accounts we don't provide a cheque book, as many of our members don't use them
- Online access - You can view your account transactions up to midnight the previous working day
- You can only deposit cheques through your SPC Member Share account, and cheques may take longer to clear than with other institutions (up to 10 days), as we are not a clearing bank. Cleared funds can then be transferred to your Current Account on request.
